2011 looks much more realistic to me. Why cut into your margin if you are making money, and selling systems at a high volume. It's not like the other systems are outstripping the demand for the Wii. It sold strongly over the holiday.
PS3 stans can disagree all they want. No one said that the games last year were not fun. Yet the hype that the line-up got last year was mind numbing. You can go through the archive thread on N4g alone, to see how many threads claimed the PS3 had the best line-up, or that 2008 was the year of the PS3. It didn't turn out like that. I'm just stating the facts.
If you had fun with your games, then dammit that's what you are supposed to do. Enjoy your game and system. When you start ...
Going to say who is going to win 2009 between the PS3 and Xbox 360. What I will say is that every year that the Xbox 360 line-up has been doubted, titles have sold and excelled for gamers. Every time we have heard about the incredible PS3 line-up they fail to impress or impact the system like the hype of them. Does that mean it will be the same in 2009? I don't know. At the same time if you are betting against Halo titles not to do well I'd like you to send me a PM and set up a paypal account...
Of you guys that want Kojima to stay exclusive really are blind to the situation that is facing developers and the economics of the game industry. You talk about how good exclusives games are because of maximizing the systems power and so forth. Have you stopped to consider how much money and man hours it took to make the game the way it is? Have you noticed the rash of developers around the world that are having to close their doors and fire thousands of people. Many of whom are talented, wo...
Kojima is smart. I think reviewing what you have done is a good thing for a game studio. I wish Sega and many other Japanese developers/publishers would do the same. The western development and gaming peak we are seeing took a long time to come. It didn't happen over night. The Japanese developers were the darling of the gaming industry leading the way with innovative games and design. All that happened was they peaked somewhat, and now western development has surpassed them in some areas, bu...
The ones that people are complaining about; LBP, and Resistance 2 because the amount of hype going into 2008 about how vastly superior the PS3 line-up was compared to the Xbox 360 was lead by these two titles. Many a thread on N4G along with comments by PS3 stans took the hype to such grandiose levels. It wasn't only N4g, it was also mainstream publications both online and offline. Remember how everyone went gah, ga, over the Game Informer cover of R2? The graphics were better than blah, blah...
the point about him being black and doing his thing...Fine. What I don't get is how he has access, and the ability to a better show but doesn't put one on. Cool, you can't make everyone happy, but find a new focus. Change up your direction. This is the reason I started my blog, and I'm going to put my own spin on the industry. What is being put out there isn't growing the industry. It's just making more fanboys and haters. It's dead wack. I'm not going to get into his hip-hop taste or overall...
It's the blind PS3 haters who are not paying attention. You can google all the issues and lackluster performance that Sony as a company has been having. These analysts are not just concerned with the PS3. This is bigger than a console war. It's about letting Apple dominate in the music arena with both content and hardware sales with Itunes and Ipod. It's about Samsung and other television makers doing better, its about money loses and expenditures. The bottom line is that Sony has lots of iss...
Is like George Bush running the White House for another 4 years. Not true, and nobody wants him around. You notice how every time these haters start to talk about line-ups they never live up to expectations? I mean every year it's been the same.
They said Fable 2 wouldn't sell, they said Gears 2 would just sell to the same people who bought the first one. I mean every time you look around it's these type of statements that jinx the PS3. Not only that Microsoft was so mum last yea...
Honestly please go get some help with your show. I mean what kind of analogy was that with the systems? Using that silly prehistoric thought to make your point. You do know that Sony is losing money on selling the PS3? Let's put it your way Sony makes $800, and lose $360 bucks. Microsoft at makes that money and keeps it. If there is a loss it's no more than 90 bucks. How much revenue does Sony bring and keep? That's the math you need to be doing, because you have to minus all the expenses the...
Do PS3 haters always want to compare what they have to the 360? Achievments are not just easy things to get. Some are, but not all. You guys should be happy that Sony even considered that offering an incentive to play is worth it. Comparing cokck sizes does nothing. The 360 games/ers have been enjoying all their games with achievements. So let's not say one several games vs all are better. Just enjoy your trophies. This first year of all PS3 games having them is not impressive, but it should ...
Halo 3 is very, very fun online. That's why its been up there for so long. CODWaW is just as fun also, in many ways I like it better than COD4. My boy is a beast in the game. I need to play it more. Well deserved.
Crazy too. What's with the meto stuff? Couldn't Sega create a different pack exclusively for PSN? Catalog should be treated a bit different. Also they are not updating the titles. Sonic should have some elements added to it.
About that. I think it takes them way too long to create DLC for FF. Instead you may see an expansion to the game similar to what was done on the PS2, or what M$ is doing with Halo ODST.
I actually like the idea of constantly updating the game you just payed 60 bucks for. The other angle is that it gives developers more time with the systems and refine the game itself on a life cycle curve. Similar to what is being done with Burnout.
Square wants to make money. Many can blame Microsoft but if you're company where down 74% in a world economy like this one. Then you'd make sure to find a way to recoup.
Now as for the systems the game is on, only PS3 Stans feel betrayed. Reminds me of many Nintendo fans back in the day when they felt butt rapped by Square going with Sony. So the cycle happens again. If anything if you are a true fan of FF then you would want them to make a classic game overall. That way in this ...
Is spot on, because you can actually back up most of what has been said in it. Most folks will say that they preferred the PS3 games and its exclusives. You can't knock that, but the numbers would say they are in the minority. Sales for PS3 titles haven't indicated that owners are showing up the way they should. At the same time you can't tell a person who has a PS3 and enjoyed their games that is was not a good year, because those are emotional points. They have nothing to do with statistics...
has long been coming the Xbox 360. You can google it and find videos, demos of the title and Realtime designers explaining it.
If a person cared about PC they wouldn't even bring up the PS3 so you can guess in both cases it's haters, hating. point is they have been taking time to make this game. You have to look at competition coming from GTA4, Crackdown 2. So APB has to stand out and as an exclusive for the Xbox 360 I think it's going to be something to watch out for.
